Lamb Of God

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Readiness

Milwaukee, WI (March 17, 2020)—Due to the new guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our national government to limit gatherings to a maximum of 10 persons, The Lamb of God Missionary Baptist Church will be suspending all meetings, events and gatherings effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020-Friday, April 3, 2020. Our Know Hunger No More Food Pantry will be open Wednesday, March 18, 2020 with revised operational practices to provide food boxes for pick-up and help meet the need for families dealing with food insecurity. There will be no Wednesday, in person, prayer meeting or Word on Wednesday (WOW) teaching until further notice.

In the coming weeks, we will be using the following methods of communication to share information and to keep in contact with our members.

USPS Mail—We will be sending a mailing in the coming days to ensure all of our members are kept up-to-date on matters pertaining to our church community.

Phone calls—Our staff will continue to be present and will be working to keep you informed. We will use the telephone to engage in strategic outreach to our members to aid in the process of information sharing and to check-in with those must vulnerable.

Phone Conferencing—Beginning March 18, 2020, we will use teleconferencing capabilities to connect in real time for prayer, discipleship development and spiritual encouragement. Our call number is 605.472.5398. The access code is 952269. Prayer and Bible study will be 6:30-7:00 PM (please prepare to join at 6:25).

Social Media—The primary social media platform we use is Facebook. If you have a Facebook page, go to Facebook.com/TheLambMKE and “Like us” there. If someone in your family already has an account, they can log on with one device and your entire household can come together for family worship.

Website—Our website will continue to have updates relative to our church community and the fluid situation of Covid-19.

The Lamb of God Baptist Church aims to increase the spiritual health of God’s people while also showing care for their social, emotional and physical well-being. During this time of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) contagion, we want our members to remain safe.

The Bible says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” (Philippians 4:6a NLT). In these unprecedented times, we can still band together spiritually, even if coming together physically is not recommended.

May God continue to bless us all as we continue to look to Him for the help that we all need.
